Public sector

Since 2004, Sand Resources has provided services to the Home Office with a particular focus on Shared Business Services, IND and the UK Borders Agency.

Our Interim Programme Director led the Home Office shared service strategy, reviewing the user programme and recommending a recovery plan. The shared service programme was successfully delivered with an improved OGC gateway review. This included responsibility for creating a public sector wide approach to delivering £4BN worth of savings through the implementation of shared service solutions and the transformation of public services through IT.

We have worked with various directorates within DEFRA since 2007 and in addition to project managing various ICT & Business Change related projects we have also provided business process analysis through shadowing Civil Servants´ on site visits to map a range of testing and inspection processes.

Sand Resources has worked with the Welsh Assembly to provide SAP Basis consultancy for their enterprise resource planning system with particular emphasis on system availability, performance management, capacity planning and security.

In 2008, Sand Resources was awarded a framework to supply Interim Managers to Bristol City Council with a particular focus on the ´Transforming Bristol´ programme. Our programme and project managers are delivering enterprise & organisational design new ways of working and shared services provision.

Sand Resources has worked with Northamptonshire since 2007 and our Project Managers are helping deliver a variety of social care services. More recently we have been working on the Business Transformation programme.

Sand Resources is delighted to have been appointed as one of three preferred framework suppliers to the RCUK for permanent and contract recruitment services. We are working closely with the shared services centre and councils throughout the UK developing business services to meet their individual needs.
