Wheels around the Weald

On Saturday 31st March 2012, Anthony Butler, Tim Nott, James Cooke and Ben Finch from Sand Resources joined other volunteers at the Wheels around the Weald bike rally.

The event was organised to raise funds for the Hospice in the Weald, our chosen charity based near our offices in Kent.

The forty mile course started at the Hospice in the Weald in Pembury and followed a circuit which took a country route through Goudhurst, Cranbrook and Paddock Wood before returning to Pembury.

Anthony completed the course (which he said was quite hilly) in a very creditable three hours followed by the other three a little later.  Anthony said "It was quite a challenging course and a lot further than we thought!  It's great to have taken part though."

Their efforts raised over £800 for Hospice in the Weald and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who sponsored us.
